Chinese smartphone brand, popular for its mid-range smartphone launches two of its new devices. The first one being Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is a smartphone and the second one being Mi Pad 4 is the successor to its previously launched tablet Mi Pad 3. Xiaomi listed these devices today on their official site.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Specs, Price, Availability
Xiaomi Redmi 6 pro comes with 5.84-inch FHD+ display with a screen ratio of 19:9. This refers that the phone comes with a notch, and Yes the notch is present on the top. The company included the feature to hide notch through software, which is common with other brands as well.
Dual cameras are present at the back, being 12 MP & 5 MP cameras to capture amazing shots. 5 MP camera is present on the front to take amazing selfies. The front camera supports AI Face unlock functionality.
The phone runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. For performance, Xiaomi Redmi 6 pro has Snapdragon 625 SoC, which came with Redmi Note 4 two years back. Come on Xiaomi, at least upgrade the processor you are giving in 2018😅. The phone comes with 4,000 mAh of battery to give you a long-lasting SOT.
The phone has dedicated Slot for microSD card along with two sim card slots. Talking about connectivity, It is similar to what we see in latest smartphones, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and much more. The phone does come with a headphone jack. IR remote control is also present on the top to function different electronic items.
The phone will be available in China, as of now from tomorrow. It comes in two variants, 32 GB/3 GB and 64 GB/4 GB RAM and Storage respectively. The 32GB storage with 3GB RAM costs 999 Yuan (~$153) and the 64GB storage and 4GB RAM costs 1,299 Yuan (~$199).
Mi Pad 4 Specs, Price, Availability
The successor to Mi Pad 3 launched today in China. The Mi Pad 4 comes with an 8-inch screen with 16:10 aspect ratio. The back of the tablet is made out of metal, which gives it a premium look. The Mi Pad 4 is quite smaller, this makes it easy to use it with one hand.
For performance, Mi Pad 4 comes with Snapdragon 660. It includes a battery of 6,000 mAh to power it up for the whole day. The tablet comes with a 13-megapixel single camera at the back. It also includes a 5-megapixel camera at the front. The front camera supports Face unlock. It runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The company is providing content from Tencent video, iQiui, and Sohu. It also supports live TV streaming. For book lovers, It also includes an app which offers different novels, book and other exclusive material to read.
The Mi Pad 4 comes in two colors: Gold and Black. The tablet comes in two variants as per connectivity: Wi-Fi only and LTE model. The Wi-Fi only with 3GB/32GB costs 1,099 Yuan (~$168) and 4GB/64GB costs 1,399 Yuan (~$215). The LTE model with 4GB/64GB costs 1,499 Yuan (~$230).
The Mi Pad 4 will be available in China as of now. The first sale begins on June 29 at 10 AM.
