On the occasion of India’s 73rd Independence Day, which is on August 15, Twitter has launched a customized as well as specialized Independence Day emoji of the Ashoka Chakra on Wednesday, August 14.

According to the reports, the emoji will be there on the twitter app till August 18 and the emoji will be available in English as well as different Indic, which are Indo-European languages, such as Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali as well as Oriya.

According to the reports, Shagufta Kamran, Senior Manager Public Policy at Twitter India said that “In these years, Twitter emojis have created themselves as a medium of expression for their users as well as the audience all over the world”. She added that “this inspires Twitter to create and organize exclusive as well as specialized and customized symbols in different moments and situations, which are important to Indians”.

According to the reports, twitter said: “We believe that the Independence Day emoji will resonate with Indians across languages, cultures and time zones, giving them yet another reason, and way to celebrate this historic day”.
Across the world, Indians can participate in the Independence Day celebration with twitter and its latest independence day emoji. They just have to use the hashtags like #IndiaIndependenceDay and #IDayIndia.

The customized design of the emoji of the Ashoka Chakra is an illustration and representation of the Dharma Chakra, which is known as a wheel, which is represented with 24 spokes in the national flag of India.
