We have been seeing a lot of brands focusing on Budget oriented devices nowadays, It was a time back then when Xiaomi changed the era completely by launching Good Spec’ed devices at lower rates. Again, Xiaomi has come up with these three new smartphones in the India markets. Today, Xiaomi India launched Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro with some great features, Let’s discuss them one at a time.
Talking about Redmi 6A, It features a 5.45-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The resolution on the device comes out to be HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels). The device does not feature any notch on the top when markets are filled with devices having a notch on the top including Recently launched Realme 2 which is truly a competitor of Redmi 6A.
Redmi 6A is powered by 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 Quad-core processor. The device comes in two variants as far as RAM & Storage is concerned. First one being 2GB RAM & 16GB Storage and other being a 3GB RAM & 32GB Storage on the device. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB Storage with a dedicated microSD Card slot on the device.
The phone comes with 3000mAh battery which can be charged through a micro USB port provided in the device. There is no fast charge/quick charge support to the device. Talking about connectivity, The device has all the normal connectivity features including Bluetooth, WiFi, Dual VoLTE, AI Face Unlock. Redmi 6A runs on MIUI 9.6 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
A single camera is provided on the back of the device. The rear camera comes out to be a 13MP sensor with an aperture of F/2.2. Talking about the front, It features 5MP camera on the front. The device does have a flashlight at the back. Talking about security, It doesn’t feature any fingerprint sensor on board which might be a drawback for many.

Talking about the price of the device, Redmi 6A with 2GB RAM & 16GB storage will cost 5,999 INR (~85$) and the one having 3GB RAM & 32GB Storage will cost around 6,999 INR (~100$). The device will be available on Amazon.in, Mi.com, and Mi Offline stores.

The storage on the device comes out to be 32GB & 64GB respectively. However, The storage is expandable up to 256GB with a dedicated micro SD Card slot on this device too.
The device features a micro USB port to charge up the 3000 mAh battery provided on board. Redmi 6 runs on MIUI 9.6 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Talking about connectivity, It too has all the necessary normal connectivity features including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Dual VoLTE, Face Unlock, Fingerprint sensor on the back, GPS & other connectivity features.
The device features dual camera at the back including 12MP primary sensor paired with a 5MP secondary sensor. The device feature 5MP sensor on the front similar to the previously talked Redmi 6A. The device features a single tone flashlight on the back. Additionally, This also includes the fingerprint sensor on the top-middle of the back of the device.
Price & Availability
Talking about the price of the device, It will cost 7,999 INR(~115 $) for the one with 3GB RAM & 32GB Storage. The device having 4GB RAM & 64GB Storage will cost 9,499 INR (~135$). The device will be available on Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi offline stores.
Redmi 6 Pro
The Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. This one feature a notch on the top which makes it a 19:9 display device. After featuring a notch on the device, Redmi 6 Pro could not do anything with the chin and it is still that thick Chin present on the bottom of the device. The device seemed to be similar to Mi A2 Lite which is not launched in India at the time of Mi A2 launch event.
Redmi 6 Pro features the typical Snapdragon 625 processor which we have been seeing for a very long time on the devices being launched by Xiaomi. However, It can be powerful but they do need to upgrade the chipset game on their device. The device is powered by 3GB & 4GB RAM variants. The storage on the device ranges from 32GB for the base variant and 64GB for the top variant. The storage is expandable up to 256GB via dedicated microSD card slot.
The device features a 4,000mAh battery which can be charged with 5V/2A Charge input through the micro USB port. The device comes with a thin back cover for the Redmi 6 Pro. Talking about connectivity, It features WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n), 2.4G WiFi / 5G WiFi, WiFi Direct, WiFi Display, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Fingerprint Sensor, Dual Sim card support, AI Face Unlock, etc. Redmi 6 Pro runs on MIUI 9.6 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Talking about the camera, The device features dual cameras on the back. The primary camera on the back is a 13MP sensor and the secondary comes out to be a 5MP sensor on the back. Redmi 6 Pro features a 5MP sensor on the front with an aperture of F/2.2. The device does feature a fingerprint sensor on the back side placed on the top-middle of the device.
