Razer finally unveiled its latest Gaming Smartphone; Razer Phone 2. This Successor to last year’s Razer Phone 1 has got a couple of changes which we shall be talking about in a few minutes. The Design is pretty similar to its predecessor however, The Camera placements have been modified at the back of the device. The Phone has already improved a lot of things from the last year’s Razer Phone.
As we already know, Razer Phone focuses on Gaming mostly, The device has got some amazing updates in the Audio & Video Quality. Not only this, The device will now have an IP67 rating which makes it a Waterproof device as well. The device has now got the Glowing LED Razer Logo on the back, which is a beauty. The Glowing Logo can be customized through the software to change the Color of the LEDs.
Razer has not upgraded the Razer Phone 2 in terms of design significantly but, There are a lot of improvements which were not seen on its predecessor, Razer Phone. Talking about the Price, Razer Phone 2 costs $799.99. It is definitely a gaming flagship. The Company has partnered with different Gaming Agencies to optimize those Games for Razer Phone 2, which will give its user the best experience on this device. The Phone features the Best Qualcomm Processor till now, Snapdragon 845.
Razer Phone 2: Specifications
Let’s talk about the Specifications of the Latest Gaming Flagship from Razer. First of all, The phone features the latest Snapdragon 845, as mentioned earlier. The Chipset on the Razer Phone 2 is clocked at 2.8GHz and is paired with Adreno 630 GPU. The device has also got the toned-down version Vapor Chamber cooling technology which was seen on the Blade 15 Laptop. This will help the Phone to not get too much hot while gaming. It does not feature the Headphone Jack, sadly.
Razer Phone 2 has got a 5.7-inch QHD Display with the resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Razer believes the 16:9 display is perfect for gaming, So, We will not see the ‘Notched’ display or any 18:9 display on the Razer Phone 2. The Screen on the Razer phone has got Refresh Rates of 120Hz which makes it easier for the smooth experience on the device. The device will have the On-Screen buttons this time as well.
Razer has improved a lot in performance as well. Now, Razer Phone 2 ships with 8GB of RAM and 64GB Storage onboard. The device has got 4,000 mAh battery which can be charged through the USB Type-C port on the device. It supports Quick Charge 4.0+ as well. The Back of the device is now made of Glass, which significantly hints about something interesting. Yeah, Razer Phone 2 supports the Wireless Charging. However, the Wireless Charger for the device costs $100 & is sold separately. The Headphone jack is missing from the device & the fingerprint sensor is present on the Power Button this time as well.
Talking about the Cameras, It has got dual Cameras placed horizontally at the Top-Middle of the back. The Rear Camera setup has got a 12MP Primary Sensor with F/1.75, Dual Pixel AutoFocus, and Optical Image Stabilization. The Secondary Sensor on the device is also a 12MP telephoto lens with F/2.6. The device can record 2160p videos up to 60 fps. Along with 1080p videos supporting up to 120 fps. The Front Camera is an 8MP sensor which can record 1080p videos at 60fps.
Talking about the Price & Availability, Razer Phone 2 will cost $800 (appx 60,000 INR). The Pre-orders for the normal variant starts from today itself. However, there is a premium variant available with Satin finish which will cost $900 (appx 67,000 INR). The Satin variant of the device will be available later.
