Google Users will now soon be able to assign reminders to their family members and friends using the Google Assistant feature.
This new feature of Google is expected to be function via the Family Group feature. Actually, if you set a reminder it will appear on a smartphone or a Google Assistant-powered Smart Display.
For example, if a parent set a reminder for his child, the reminder will appear on a smartphone or a Google Assistant-powered Smart Display.
This new feature by Google can work for friends as well as roommates, but for that, both the users have to be part of an opt-in group of trusted fellow Assistant users.
This new feature by Google is named as Assignable Reminders, which help you to assign different reminders to your friends as well as family members.
According to the reports, this new feature by Google will be available to the Android as well as iOS users of the US, UK, and Australia in the next few weeks itself.
This new feature by Google is expected to work on different smartphones, Google Assistant-powered speakers, smart displays, as well as other devices with support of Google’s virtual assistant across the world.
To assign a reminder, to a friend or a family member you have to ask your Google Assistant, “Hey Google, remind Mommy to make my dinner at 8 pm.” Once you have assigned a reminder, you can check it with simple steps like “Hey Google, show me my reminders for Mommy.”
According to the reports, this new feature by Google of Assigning reminders on the Google Assistant is going to help families and housemates in making better collaboration.
